We’re thrilled to begin another term of multi-sport fun at Minisport! With classes starting the week of August 18th, here’s what to expect: first-week activities, uniform updates, key reminders, and more for a great start.

🚀 Kicking The Term Off With Tennis

Week 1 & 2 Sport Focus: We're kicking our first 2 week sport rotation off with Tennis - so let your child know, and feel free to expose them to this sport as much as you can ahead of the first class.

What to expect in the first week:

•  High-energy, age-appropriate activities designed to get everyone moving and smiling
•  Plenty of encouragement and support for any first-class nerves (totally normal!)
•  Our experienced coaches will create a welcoming, fun atmosphere from minute one

Here is the sport rotation for the coming term for your reference:

*WK1-2 Tennis* (Aug 18-31, 2025) | *WK3-4 Rugby* (Sep 1-14, 2025) | *WK5-6 Football* (Sep 15-28, 2025) | *WK7-8 Tennis* (Sep 29 - Oct 12, 2025) | *WK9-10 Basketball* (Oct 13-26, 2025) | *WK11-12 Cricket* (Oct 27 - Nov 9, 2025) | *WK13-14 Hockey* (Nov 10-23, 2025) | *WK15-16 Basketball* (Nov 24 - Dec 7, 2025) | *WK17-18 Cricket* (Dec 8-21, 2025).

👕 Uniform & What to Wear

All term 1 students will receive a FREE new uniform in weeks 3-4, once our first batch of new uniform arrives! These new uniforms are made from recycled polyester - our first step toward becoming more eco-friendly this academic year. Keep on the lookout for more announcements on improving our carbon footprint will follow throughout the year!

•  Got last year's uniform? Absolutely perfect - wear it with pride!
•  No uniform yet? No problem! Any sports-appropriate, non- minisport clothing works great
• Trainers are mandatory - closed-toe sports shoes only for safety
•  Keep it cool & comfortable - avoid long sleeves or trousers as the weather is hot and kids need to move freely

This is a gentle reminder that once the new uniform is handed out at classes, it will be mandatory to wear it at sessions for the remainder of the term.

🎒 What To Bring

•  A full water bottle to stay hydrated
•  Suncream (for outdoor locations)
•  Mosquito spray (for outdoor locations)
•  A rain jacket & umbrella for both students & guardians alike (for outdoor locations)*

* Coaches may pause classes for brief periods of time if the weather interupts class, so make sure to bring some waterproof clothing if the forecast merits it!

📱 Important Reminders

•  Check the Minisport app for class details - Go to "My Bookings" for exact meet-up points, weather policies & more.
•  Arrive 10 minutes early - This helps avoid any first-class teething issues and gives your child time to settle in
•  For classes at the Minisport Hub (Caine Road), only one guardian can be present during the session to avoid overcrowding

•  Stay tuned on the app and via email notifications in case of any weather calls that affect the status or location of classes.

🌟 Let Us Know More About Your Child Via The App

Through our app, you can give coaches valuable insights that help create the best possible experience for your little one. Via thew app, you can:

•  Choose a green, yellow, or red mood indicator to let coaches know how your child is feeling
•  Leave specific comments about anything that might affect their session
•  Update their profile with current interests and preferences

Why This Matters:
When coaches know your child is having a tough day or is excited about dinosaurs this week, they can attempt to adapt their approach. This personalized touch helps every child feel comfortable, engaged, and ready to have fun while learning new skills.

It's often the smallest of details that make the biggest difference in early years sports experiences.

🎉 Community Events Coming Soon

•  Free parent yoga sessions and family outings for themed Nature and Ocean weeks available to families of all Term 1 enrolled students.
•  Enrollment for these events opens in week 2 of term, via the app
•  Great opportunities for the whole family to get involved in the Minisport community!

👥 Spaces Still Available + Refer a Friend!

•  We still have some spots available for this term - perfect timing for friends who want to join the fun
•  Refer a friend and earn $300 credit when they join the program following their trial
•  Simply share the Minisport experience with families you know via the app (Menu> Refer friends to earn credit)- they'll thank you for it!

We can't wait to see all our returning families, and to welcome our new ones, on Monday. Here's to another term filled with skill development, confidence building, and most importantly - loads of fun!

Let's make this term the best one yet! 🎉

Warm regards,
The Minisport Team
